Thrilled to be Featured in Velvet Magazine’s Home & Garden Hub!
’m excited to share some wonderful news with all of you—I’ve been featured in the latest issue of Velvet magazine! You’ll find me in the “Home & Garden Hub” section, in an article aptly titled “Getting Organised.” It’s a real privilege to have my work and story highlighted in this respected publication, and I’d love to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what it means for me and my business.
For those of you meeting me for the first time through Velvet, welcome! I’m Elizabeth Catchpole, and I run EC Home Organiser, serving busy households across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. My goal is to help people regain control of their living spaces—whether that means decluttering a kitchen, streamlining home offices, or transforming an entire property into a calm, functional sanctuary.
My journey into professional organising has been anything but ordinary. I’m proud of my diverse background, which even includes my time as a boss at a diving school in Thailand! (Yes, that’s right—I swapped the scuba gear for storage solutions!)
In the Velvet feature, I talk about how I love helping busy families stay on top of their schedules, belongings, and household routines. Family life can be fast-paced and overwhelming, and there’s nothing more rewarding than making it simpler and stress-free.
I also share a bit about my unique work helping relocate personnel from the US Air Force. Moving to a completely new country and home is a huge challenge, and being able to ease that transition by organising their living spaces is truly fulfilling work. It’s all about creating a fresh start—allowing people to feel settled and comfortable the moment they walk through the door.
Being featured in Velvet magazine is a milestone for me. It’s an opportunity to shine a light on the power of organisation and how it can transform lives, homes, and well-being. Seeing my story in print reminds me why I started my business in the first place—to help people live more comfortably by conquering clutter and chaos.
I’m beyond grateful for this chance to share my passion and expertise with a wider audience, and I hope it inspires more people to seek professional help when it comes to streamlining their homes (and, by extension, their lives).
